skyline vs. muscle car

I think that "muscle car" is a early 70's Duster... which is about as much a muscle car as a Dustbuster is a Shop-Vac. I've seen Pintos that are faster than that.

What I find funny is that every time an import beats any older car, people go "OMG SKYLINE DESTROYS MUSCLE CAR!!! ATTESA = GAME OVER! WHOOOO!!!" Whenever a muscle car beats an import, they bitch about how it has more cylinders and less HP/L. Seriously, did you read the comments on that page? What a bunch of morons!

So, in short, we have no idea what either car had under the hood, the video was blurry as shit, and the goof standing in front of the cameraman made it next to impossible to see how big the gap was.

Sure, take the skylines turbos, and take away 2 of the cylanders on the muscle car... THEN it would be "even".

I personally would like to see a stock for stock race. Those ar ethe most indicative of the true performance from a car I think.

Anyways, take away that Skylines AWD and make it just RWD and it would be interesting. The Skyline launched hardcore but I didn't seem to see the gap widen a shitload so it would be interesting if they were the same platform.

I am no expert on Australian cars, but that is NOT an American Muscle car. It is definately not a V-8 of any kind. You can see and hear the boost lag between shifts and it sure sounds alot like a 4 or 6 turbo car.

I wouldn't consider the RX3 a muscle car, or even Japanese muscle for that matter, but they can be fast :thumbsup: for old school rotary!

Yes, that's a RX-3. Aussies seem to love them and mod the crap out of them. Still good to see old rotaries in action! However, I tend to agree taking away the AWD advantage from the Skyline and see how those two would stack up against each other.
