The stat is most definitely wrong. And, you prob read it faster because your eye is no longer drawn to reading individual words (like most people read - jumping word to word), but rather 'allowed' to skim over (as speed readers usually do). I learned a long long long time ago when I was much younger to skim rather than read words - allows me to read faster while retaining the sentences' information.

i think the 54% are all younger ppl that are used to computer language .....ask someone older that dosnt use a computer to read it

yeah most of the time my friends all type like that so I'm used to
it. If a 50 year old person read it they would probably have
problems. However 54% seems a little low
