MINI is dropped on coilovers, finally!

Finally got the car on coilovers! I'm really happy I went with them instead of springs. :thumbup:

But!
I have a problem,I'm experiencing shaking/wobbling in 1st, 2nd and a little in 3rd between 2000-3500rpm, I have no clue why. I'm meeting a friend tomorrow that might now what is causing it. And I havn't gotten a wheel alignment yet, I was supposed to but my friend who installed it wanted me to put on winter rims because he was afraid to scratch my summer rims. I've asked if it might shake/wobble because I havn't gotten an alignment yet but they say it doesn't seem likely?

And I wanna drop it a little more , just a tad, but it's already damn loow. :)

i dont see how what RPM and what gear your in would make a difference, but im pretty sure you should get an alignment done once you switch to after market shocks no?

and you should get an alignment after any type of suspension change/modification

Thanks guys, I don't know how much we dropped it, but it's low. :thumbsup: I'll see what happends tomorrow but I will get an alignment, no doubt!

Car looks smokin' hawt!!! I better not show this to the wifey as she will fall all over the computer - she's wanted a mini since they first came out and looking at your car almost convinces me to sell mine. Besides rims, tires and coilovers - what else is done to the car?

Exterior is;

Painted grill bodycolor
Painted headlightrings bodycolor
Painted the matte black around the car bodycolor
Checkered roof
Tinted rearlights
Exhaust, not really exterior but it really changes the look, the OEM tips are soooo small. ;)

Go for it, they are great little cars!

Piece of advice for ya, if your coilovers are more than half way to the bottom of the coil, do not drive faster than 80 over those huge cracks on the road on Deerfoot.
I'm sure you'd love the sound of it all...

The shaking you are getting could be because your suspension bushings are not stiff enough to handle the drop. I don't know what type of bushings they use on minis, But on my car, once i droped it I experienced the same thing.

I installed a set of Engergy Suspenion bushings, and ever since then I have no wobble what so ever
