replacing Mosfet

So an Amp of mine bunred up a MOSfet (likely due to crappy shipping)
Anyway Can I upgrade the mosfet with out other problems?
Ie Need IRFZ44A, but can't get it. However I can get can get IRFZ44R or IRFZ44PBF which the only difference seems to be higher 'power dissapation' (150watts)
so is higher power disapation better?

Anybody know?

Its proper replacement is IRFZ44N, but that part is obsolete as well.

Toshiba's cross ref replacement is 2SK2312 (In production, and digikey has stock).

You'll want to double check compatibility on your own though.
