Had a crappy day at work. After I got home , I remembered a movie I had to take back.So I decided to get the Stang out and have a bit of fun.
Anyways,it wasn't a fair kill. He had 3 people in the car,I was the only one in mine. We were slowing down approaching a red light.
I was in second gear,around 2500 rpm,which is just perfect for a fast getaway. My car has V6 decals ,no wing,or obvious mods.He was looking at me.He thought he was looking at a plain jane V6 Stang. He had tunes up high,and I guess couldn't hear the blower whine. The light turned green before we reached it,and I took off . Perhaps because I wasn't in a great mood,I kept it floored. By the time I reached around 160 kph , the WRX was way,way back.

I did hear him floor it,but I guess he gave up. I have about double his horsepower and torque ,and from a roll it wasn't much of a contest.

Strangely, I was in a much better mood after that, and even obeyed the speed limit til I got home.. :tongue:

ya, bad moods can really bring the shit outa ya. Screaming at folks or racing too fast, whatever. But at least it helped.

welp you said it, double the hp and torque, and the rex had 3 people. well I do not know how satisfying that is.. maybe if the wrx was all riced out.. anywayz.. oO

I don't understand why people drag race WRX'. They aren't designed for that by any means.

Supercharged Mustang against a WRX? Come on now...you guys have way to much confidence in the WRX' capabilities as a drag car.

Even with a solo driver, I'm pretty sure his Mustang will have no trouble walking all over it.

I had no idea a WRX with a solo driver ran a 13.3 or anything in the 13's...or most of the 14's for that matter...

actually bone stock wrx run low to flat 14's sea level.



either way, a stock mustang GT would probably beat a stock wrx let alone a supercharged mustang. haha.

errr.... where is crxguy. i wonder if he has his mods installed yet :confused:

Yes, but the mustang in question is running 13.3 at our elevation, and I dont know of any WRX's that have run 14.0 at Calgarys Loft.

Like I mentioned, I believe I heard of someone running like 14.7 or 14.8 at Race City, but it wasn't stock.

what are you talking about? NO where in my post did i say a wrx runs 14's in calgary. i siad SEA LEVEL... and yes... no question the mustang is faster.

I know you said that, but it was comparing apples to oranges, chill out man, whoa...

You posted sea level, and the stang was at our level, so my post of high 14's is not incorrect. that is all...comprendé?

Prolly not for a while now, too busy with work lately. :( Getting bodywork done soon anyways.

No it wont. A good show would be when the wrx might stand a chance and in this case, it obviously dosent.
