I was wondering if anyone is familiar or can link me to some info to legally changing my last name. How would i go about doing this to all my documentation? What would be the first step to take the first thing to change before i proceed to other stuff.

I would guess that the best thing for you to do is call Alberta Vital Statistics as a start. They will guide you towards what you need to do.

Last name is Ho, name of my dad i dont' see any more (divorced) won't go into details.


could you possibly get me a phone number or address of a person i can speak to?

Go to your registry for the forms. Name changes are subject to approval by Alberta Vital Statistics.

great guys thanks for the great info! this is exactly what i was looking for!

400 bones though damn haha so troublesome just to change the name.
