Well I finally got my new toy from the land of the rising sun after waiting over a month. Right now the AFC Version 2 is not available in North America. So it has to come from Japan. One of the new key features is the knock monitor which was one of the major reasons that I bought it, a little bit of engine safety. Keep in mind your engine needs to have a knock sensor and this just monitors it. I'm also going to use it to upgrade my MAF sensor. It also adjusts at 200rpm increments instead of 500rpm. It also does a few other things over the original.

The control is also improved, the dial rotates and the center stick is like a joystick. This is nice than the original 4 button setup.

Do not ask me where I got it from as it is not one of the beyond sponsers.

Rage, new knock sensor feature, 12 rpm points instead of 8 and ability to switch between two different stored "maps". Those are the differences between the two (other than cosmetic changes).

Apparently the install is identical as compared to the last SAFC... (for DSMs anyways). You should be okay using the docs off the U.S. Apexi website if need be.

the yellow and white wire is your maf. you have to cut your maf wire going to the ecu. hook up the yellow wire to the ecu(output) and white wire(input) to the maf. i'm pretty sure the blue is a optional input wire. same as the blue wire on previous gen s-afc. most guys tap the blue wire to the o2 sensor to monitor the voltage. anyways good luck with the install. if you need a hand give me a shout.

hey everybody... i have a few question regarding the AFC. Do you need to run larger injectors or fuel pump when using this unit? I understand that it basically just tricks the ecu into delivering more fuel? I am thinking about going forced induction when i find a car. My main question is what components are necessary to use with the AFC in order to control the fuel management. Thanks for any help in advance.

Nothing is really "required"... you could install it on a stock vehicle and start fiddling around with the settings (for better or worse). It is more useful when you have upgraded your fuel system and need more control over that.

I've been thinking of getting one of these, how much would it cost to dyno tune this?

Also if I go to Toma or whoever to dyno it, would they do all the tuning also because I wouldn't know what to touch.

Thanks
