As difficult as it was for me to do it, I decided to bite the bullet and trade in my paid out 2001 Acura 3.2 CL Type S for a 2001 Honda S2000.

I've only had the chance to drive it from the dealership to my parents' to my house, but boy am I starting to LOVE the way this car drives.

Kinda scary that I'm a girl learning to drive manual on this "beginner" car lol

:nut:

Here are some pictures

Haha, yeah thanks for the kind words. It was a complete change from my CL-S.

The CL-S had every option possible except for navi, whereelse the S2000 is pretty barebones.

As weird as it may sound, it was definitely a hard decision for me as my CL-S was paid out.

However, I figure I'm only 24 once, so what the hell. I can get another luxury coupe somewhere down the line when I'm 30 lol!

So much for not wanting to spend money on cars now that my bf and I have a new house and mortgage. Damn raise!

Thanks everybody.

I had actually purchased an 89 CRX Si a few months back to learn manual on. I actually found it more difficult learning on that car than the S2000 and my bf's car.

Yeah I had my choices narrowed down to three cars....RX-8, 350z and the S2000.

Glad I made the choice that I did

Best upgrade EVER :D

I've driven my fair share of S2000's (3 T_T) but I can tell you that I want one, so I am now officially envious of you

Next thing ya know, when you're 30, you'll have the S for the daily driver and an NSX-T for the weekends

Lol thanks for the kind words everybody.

I was actually really close to picking up the RX-8. I would have probably had the price reduced down to 32000 or so on an 04 with only 6500km's on them.

To be honest, my bf and I never did test drive the 350Z. It's a personal opinion, but I never did take to the Z from the beginning. I found the interior almost too "plasticky". We have a friend who works at a Nissan dealership and for whatver reason, he has turned customers off the car when they expressed interest in it. So much for his commission lol.

Say, so anybody know if some 18" Axis Mod Se7en rims on 225/45/R18 rubber would fit on the car?

Here is what it would look like.....

Yeah the car is surprisingly EASY to learn manual on lol. However, I think other drivers on the road are cutting me some slack because I have a "new driver" sign posted on my back window lol.

haha yes i do. and i was just stating my opinon that's all. i'm sure everybody has certain cars they don't like or classify as "girly" cars or less macho cars. the cars i just don't happen to particularly like are S2000's...along with Miatas, Neons, Sunfires, PT cruisers, and the like

My new driver sign is awesome!

That way, I'm not as worried about rolling into the car behind me at a stop light because people usually back their ass away from me lol.

Are you Asian? Maybe I saw you today or yesterday turning onto 4th Street downtown as I was going to work.

How many other hot chicks are there in Calgary that drive silver S2000s?

carzcraz
04-14-2006, 10:41 PM
Yes I'm asian. However, I think you have the wrong person this time because I was downtown but not in my S.

Nice to know that there are other female S2000 owners though

:)

You need huge offsets on the S2000 so my bet is that your mod7s wont fit, 18s will be tough to fit on. If you want my two cents call Tunerworks get our order placed for the "new" Work Emotion wheels in 17, would look sick on that car, I'd be buying them If I still had my s2000.

good for you...nice choice. If I didn't need 4 seats I might have gone this way. Thee is something cool about a car that can rev to 8000 rpm and beyond.

Aww:( So no more RonJon Bodykit for the CL-S!
I was all excited about that, but this is a much sexier platform to play with.
Nice choice Cecilia, see you on the road someday.

Thanks Dupont. Yeah I loved my CL-S, but I was worried in terms of the long run with its notorious tranny problems. I was also looking for something a little flashier and "younger".

I think the S hit the right spot
