Okay so I've figured out finalcially it's not financially viable for me to buy a new Mazda 3, so I'm currently looking at 2nd hands in around the $15000-19000 range and it's down to the following:

Rsx
-good car overall, but most are $20000+

Protege 5s
-very well equipped, the most pratical of all my choices since it's got 4 doors

00+ Civic Si or SiRs
-you can never go wrong with Civics, and the Si / SiRs gives me that little extra fun factor I'm looking for

99+ 5th Gen Preludes
-beautiful cars, what more can I say?

Heres a few more possibilities that I'm not very fond of:

00+ EL
-expensive, interior wood trim = :barf:

3rd Gen GSR Tegs
-overpriced, and they're everywhere

Accords
-a little bigger than what I need, therefore I'll have to pay for more than what I need

Celicas
-Most GTS's are $20000+ so it's out of my price range

Corollas XRS
-not that many out in the second hand market

Mainly I'm just looking for inputs from people whom have owned or currently driving these cars and can provide me with some feedback and/or what to look for when I'm shopping one of them. My biggest concern is reliability, since this will be my first stick, I don't want the tranny going on me anytime soon, or at least make it until I'm out of college.

I had a 99 SiR. It was a fun car, and should be well below your price range :)

5th Gen Prelude would be a great car, and you could probably get one for around 15K

Pearl White

You can find a 00+ celica GTS in your price range. I think they're great cars, fun to drive and fairly quick with great handling. I had one for two years and loved every minute of it. If you do look at any make sure all gears are working well upshifting and downshifting as the synchros will go on these cars with any abuse. Look to the states and you'll definitely find one well within your price range.

If I were u I would look for either a Si-R or a GS-R, ur right there is a lot of integras but not many of them are GS-R's and those are damn fun cars...

Good Luck!!!

Really? Even for a 2000+ models? How much more is a SH compared to a SE?

I know that there aren't alot of GSRs out there but my biggest problem with it is the price. They're a little jacked up cuz of how sought after it is.

Is Gallery of Fine Cars really just Hotwheels renamed? If so then shouldn't I be not even considering that Lude? Also, I thought Canada only had SE and SH models?

What would be considered low? 15k a year?

Protege 5's are really nice. Good interior/exterior/fun to drive. My sister has one and i drove it around for like a month. They are however, really lacking in HP. Floor it and nothing happens...so that sometimes dulls the driving experience.

My suggestion is MP5 and Prelude

Thats a good deal. I would have seriously considered that if I didn't just get a new car.
