For Sale:
1989 Honda Accord EX-i Coupe, black in colour with beige interior. ~265k odo (I have to look to get an exact number). It has the 2l 12V PGM FI (A20A3) motor in it, w 5 speed (A2K5). Only reason for selling, is GF drives an EG civic now....she thinks a hatch is cooler....
The good:
-sporty car
-bolstered supportive seats
-Power mirrors/windows/antenna/steering
-Cruise control
-A/C (blows very cold)
-JVC CD player
-no grinds, good tranny, good brakes, drives well
-remote starter installed
-completely lady driven, we bought it off the old lady who drove it off the lot when it was almost new, and it was driven by my GF for the last couple years. it even has some maintenance records recorded in the manual. We've put barely 20K/ year on it.
-mechanic maintained (my father is a licenced HD mechanic)
Recent maintenance (with receipts):
-Alternator replaced late last year ($200 alone!)
-Timing belt done at ~213k
-Clutch done at ~225k
-brakes/rotors done at ~230k
-tires w/ less than 10k on them
-new blower motor installed in november (that is a crappy crappy job.........)
The bad (its all relative!)
-rust is present, on the drivers door and rear quarters....on black its not that bad, but it is there....
-does smoke on startup in mornings....doesn't blow during driving, but valve seals may be leaking a little.....
- needs exhaust, it leaks and its loud.....
-remote starter did work, it still flashes the lights, but for some reason won't start....never cared to look into it
-car was smoked in
So I'm asking $1500 for this car, its got alot of life in it, everything works as it should, pop up headlights and all. I feel this is a reasonable asking price, if you're interested and don't agree, please PM me!
