ive driven one of those rental carfs with a soft top during the winter (cant remember if it was the chrysler contour or something or rather)and i also drove my frienfds mustang soft top in winter (car got killed about a week ago R.I.P) and they werent terrible. it was almost the same, just you coudl feel that it was colder in the car. but you turned on the heater and all was the same as any other car. Bu6t if its an older car... pray your heater works.

Vinyl is very hard to take the top down. cloth is alright, not bad.
hardtop is the way to go for winter. :D

I don't really like the looks with the softtop up though...

I had 0 problems when I had my 02 Mustang GT Convertible. More road noise than a hardtop (obviously). But as far as keeping the warm in, and the cold out it worked perfectly. In fact I always found myself turning the heat down everytime because it would get quite toasty.

Awesome! MOST the convertiable now, are triple layer, ( or more ) and padded, with rear glass and good seal anyway ...
Most of their windows will automatic go up and down as well .. ?

I love Topless car .. I drove mine in winter too, if no snow, no problem!! I just drove mine to Edmonton and and back .. very quiet at 150km/hr too .. :)
