hey i got a 93 probe Gt its got 240,000kms on it. But all of a sudden a LOT of blue smoke comes out of the muffler now and its burning oil. Is this really bad? will anything happen if i keep driving it?

umm did you change your spark plugs recently?or did it all of a sudden start happening? Its not bad but make sure you keep oil in her. and you will fail emissions btw. Nothign will happen but you shoudl fix it before it gets out of hand.

check your piston rings

you'z burnin oil...get a compression test done in all your cylinders to find out which one(s) is/are the culprit.

Could be the rings or the seals...But if you do want to get it done, its going to be expensive. I got my seals and cyilender head done on a Honda Civic I had a year and a half ago, and it costed me over a grand...Just to give you a heads up...

I don't understand, what would the spark plugs do with it burning oil? How much does it cost to get a compression test done?

It will stop working shortly if you keep driving it.

Ya, mine was burning oil, compression on cyl 4 slowly got worst, then i did the rebuild on it. Get a compression test done at the dealer. ITs probably seals or piston rings causing the oil burning. get it checked out, like siad before, it will be expensive, mine costed me 1500 for all seals, rings, 2 new valves, head surfaced timign belt ect ect ect. i was lucky and got a mechanic at my work to do it, but it will be pricey from a dealer....

I've heard of people doing that, driving around with leaking seals and rings. I asked honda becuase I somewhat have the same problem, they said it would be ok if its only a little oil(mine is only blue on start up). If yours is doing it really bad while your driving, I would suggest to get it done, but if you go through dealers its really expensive...

If it's just seals, you may get away with an additive. If it's rings, you're going to need a rebuild.
