Predictions? Comments? I'm gonna say flames in 5, i dont wanna jinx it but Calgary didnt even care last night and still almost won with boucher in net...Anaheim hasnt been hot lately and giguere wasnt solid last night, :goflames:

I've been reading the papers & scanning the net and am quite surprised how many so-called experts are predicting the Ducks to win the series. I know that anything can happen but of all the teams in the Western Conference I've seen this year that made the playoffs the Ducks impressed me the least. Hell I would be more worried about the Canucks if they made it. I was jumping for joy when the Oilers beat the Avs to ensure that the Flames played the Ducks instead of Sakic and the boys. I just hope that all the Ducks whining about the Flames 'clutch & grab obstruction' doesn't sway the refs into turning the series into a bunch of ill-deserved Ducks powerplays. I have a bad feeling that the first game at least there will be a few Duck's 2-man advantages and the Flames will get done in by the league using the Flames as an example of 'enforcing the rules'.:(

I hope I'm wrong but the writing is on the wall with the Ducks complaining/posturing & the statement that the NHL put out yesterday that all calls will be made and refs that put away the whistle will be relieved of their duties for the next round of the playoffs. Even though the Flames play nothing like the New Jersey Devils trapping style of the past they are singled out as a team that clutches & grabs so I wouldn't be surprised if the officials doing the Flames/Ducks series got an email from the league to keep an eye on the Flames. Plus lets face it, the NHL office in New York would never admit it but they would prefer that the Flames not make an 04 type run as it makes better television ratings & American interest to have Dallas, Colorado, or Detroit in the finals over a small market Canadian team like the Flames.

Well if anything it was proven last night that the refs were not on our side. It was unbelievable some of the stuff Anaheim got away with, the whole crowd was in an uproar over the one-sided calls towards the end of the game. The Flames looked out of gas in the 2nd, 3rd and overtime periods, but we just needed a little luck to end it and I'm glad we got it. The crowd was pretty crazy after the OT winner, it was definitely an amazing experience to be in the dome for that! :goflames: Hopefully Flames will pick it up in the series from now on.

Just a note you don't have to be rich to get playoff tickets, we got ours for $55 on the 2nd tier in the attack zone, great seats!

Reffing was just inconsistent overall. There were a couple calls on them that shouln't have been. There was even a penalty on them that should have been on us.

It was pretty funny last night watching the cops try to keep people on the sidewalks by lining up their bicycles. Then the crowd came from the Dome and within minutes the entire street was filled with people...there was absolutely nothing the cops could do. :D
