My two friend have encountered the same problem with their subarus, the paint almost seems like it's cracking into a very unique pattern, and very fine all through the hood of one car, and all through the car on the other.

When i first saw it i thought my frnd got jibbed from a used car, not seeing two i wonder if it's a paint or maintenance thing with the subaru dealers.

I've also got a bit of crazing on my 00 RS hood in a few spots. Nothing major, just some small localized areas, but not something I would expect from a Japanese manufacturer.

So you mean when my dealer charged for thost swirls I got ripped off? He told me it was a new special paintjob, that only subaru knew how to do.
