here's alittle info about something like i got:

This bike resulted after we received a 2.5 hp Honda 4-cycle engine, a
real gem. It weighs 19 lbs., runs all day at 3500 RPM and the centrifugal
clutch engages at 2250 RPM. The belt ratio is 3" to 5", the chain ratio
is 13T to 44T, so the overall reduction is 5.64:1. At 3500 RPM, the speed
is up to 48 MPH. The 44T sprocket is clamped to the left side of the rear
wheel hub with a U-bolt clamp aided by industrial epoxy. The engine mount
is welded to the bottom bracket. The pedals are extended out to avoid the
engine as you pedal.
The throttle lever is on the left handlebar, above the brake lever and
closer in. There is just enough room under the top tube to remove the gas cap
and fill up. The choke, fuel valve and starter pull handle are easily reached
by the seated rider. The ignition kill switch is in front of the engine.
Single-pull starts are common. The muffler is very quiet. The photos
show the bike without the belt guard in place. Leaning into the turns too
much while pedalling can cause the pedals to scrape on the road, however.

here's a nice one ...if you put the biggest sprocket on they say it will do 63mph at 1hour to 2 hours distance at 1litre of fuel

I know...i thought thats all there worth...mine had rust on sprockets and dusty..wasn't used much but i have been looking online there worth from $250 and up...usd

If you guys want a bike that kicks ass buy one of these or build youre own...10 times better then pocket bike....

Also i was on bike path yesterday and cops were biking towards me so i started to pedal...lol...press the killl switch and they didn't even look at me..accept i was coming at them fast...lol

I went from south ikea" pathway to bowness on under a tank which i had her pinned the whole way ...lol....taking a jump didn't really work that great but what can you do...LOL

Also my trip said 37kms total and the tank only holds 1 litre of fuel

I'm thinking if yu drilled a hole in the fram with a valve you could fill the frame up with fuel then you could go anywhere...lol

Isn't that classified as a moped (req class 6) as soon as you stick a motor on it?

I dont think so. i was already thinking of mounting sides so you cant see the engine at all. Then run the exhaust through the bottom part of the frame makes it even more quite

I'm sick of driving my 1959 chevy (gas)
I did find this kit

http://www.kingsmotorbikes.com/index.html

I did see one of these last year in calgary

I ordered one up :)
I think the law in Alberta is that it has to be under 50cc and not have a clutch to operate without a class 7

Canadian tire ones suck...but now that i think about it i havent seen them there in a long time. Maybe they don't carry them anymore...umm...either way the saving are incrediable yesterday i was passing traffic downtown... suckers!!!

I have noticed these bikes are best bought at $300usd and up for the one like mine. Great investment. Or build youre own...these can make it up hills okay...center street coming out of downtown up the hill was about max and i was doing about 15-20k up that hill...

If you switch sprockets then it would be much better.

Canadian Tire ones are ugly and electric NOT gas as sin :guns:

I have gone to wiaprous with it also. Any standard bike will work. But get a bigger motor then 49cc...as there aliitle slow..lol...and cant go up hills at all

G/F is having garage sale today and sold the bike within 3 hours..sold for $275.00 reason i sold it is i want to build a bigger and better one with full suspention

If you want to haul get 2.5hp or bigger and have the exhaust going through the frame. Then sheild the motor with some welding/ grinding with electric start..that way you never look at the motor. You have 2 vents pulling air in to cool the engine.

Thats kinda the idea im going to build up to.

Don't look at what year they are just look at the designs of them. Gives you an idea what you could do.
