Hey guys ,

Im looking for some information on the workers visa(seasonal travelor) for Australia (the place to call is closed till monday) . Just wondering what kind of restrictions they have for places you work? I want to work in a bar or a resturant , but not sure If I can.. All info would be great.

They dont give alot of information (just some crap about picking trees blah blah) and 3 months with one employeer.

Also , does anyone know if you can import your car and drive it down there for a year??

Im going to be living on the Gold Coast

Yah you can definately work in a bar or restaurant. Most places don't care at all about the visa. I worked in a restaurant for three months and Turbo'dGSR worked in one for I think four months.

As for the car I'd assume you can import but why not take advantage of driving some new Skylines or Silvias. It feels good coming home to car, especially one like yours

You know... almost every thread he posts in someone commments on his car.

That must either be really cool or really annoying ;)

Gold Coast is nice, other places I would recommend are Byron Bay, Perth, Brisbane, Cairns and Melbourne.

If the job is legit, the max you can stay is 3 months, but there are plenty of jobs (fruit picking etc) that can pay under the table as well.

With the abundance of Silvias, Skylines, STis, and Evos im surprised you would want to bring a car with you ;).

Awesome , great information guys. As for bringing my car... Well I dunno , she might just be parked for a year I guess?? I was looking at the 2000+ Skylines , they go for around 30k AUS ... which is decent.

As for the car comment ... Lol i went to a party and parked infront , I dont think ive shaken so many damn guys hands :thumbsdow

But its always nice to be complemented , lol.

As for the 3 months limit .. I guess ill be bar hopin lol ...

I guarantee you'll have a better time if you stay in hostels, it's a 24/7 party

They've got some city specific links on the bottom but look through as they got some national jobs listed as well sometimes. Found the site to be pretty good for searching jobs and accommodations.
