Just bought a new car and need to sell my 2001 Mazda MP3. Some of you might know what this car is… a very rare, limited production Protégé. I have 2 cars (well 3 now) and don’t drive to work so the mileage is super low… about 26,000 km’s. I am the original owner and have all records including every oil change done every 3-5k’s.
It has all the usual power options, AC etc, but the factory MP3 tweaks are what makes the car special… they include things like factory body kit, racing beat tuned suspension with tokico shocks, lower springs, big stabilizer bars, chassis reinforcements, quicker ratio steering, nardi steering wheel, shift knob, aluminum pedals, racing beat exhaust, Racing Hart 17’s with Dunlop SP900’s, special seats, trim etc. and if course the Kenwood MP3 system including Z828 head unit… all stock.
This car is not huge on power but handles like a freakin dream, especially for a front wheel drive. I also own a 911 and find it can pretty much keep pace in the twistys with it. Road and Track did a “great grip” handling shootout in 2002 and included the MP3 with 7 other cars: Ferrari 360, Lotus Elise, Porsche 911, Evo VII, Boxter and BMW M3. Sure it came in last overall, but some pretty good company no? Here’s a link to the article:

Anyways, the car is in great shape overall. Only negatives are windshield cracks (not on drivers side) a door ding on the right rear door and a scrape on the front bumper corner that probably could use a spray or at least a buff. The Dunlop’s have less than 10K on them and I have some 16” Niche alloys with performance Michelin winters mounted that I will include.
I haven’t snapped pics yet, but here are some off the net… the car looks EXACTLY like this (I’ll get some actual pics up soon):
