What can I do if my psp is at 2.5?

What can I downgrade it to?

generally if you want to run emulators, you downgrade to 1.5. But then you dont get the internet browsers that 2.6 and up offer.

only way is 2.0->1.5, 1.51/1.52->2.0->1.5 and such
anything above 2.0 unfortunately can't do anything that you'd want it to do
frankly i don' think anyone would enjoy playing stupid little homebrew games
but that's just my opinion

Just wait it out. I'm sure those PSP hackers are working on an emulator to get around 2.5

You need to buy Grand Theft Auto : Liberty City Stories; and load the emulator through that.

Right now there isn't a way to downgrand from 2.01+ to 1.5

Apparently, some guy on ebay had a way but when I emailed him he said he pulled his product because he could gaurantee it would work.

Ok. I think I read about that, he was using an external chip to run the frimware. But it was'nt always successful.

Ok I will buy the GTA. I would not mind being able to back up my current games and put them on my 2 gig mem stick that way I dont need to carry around a bunch of disks. Can that emulater load my back ups?

Do think it is a matter of only time before they get past these newer firmwares?

from what I read, it is impossible for the latest firmwares to launch ISOs from memory sticks so the only thing you can do is use GTA LCS w/ eloader to boot the emulators.

what is most likely possible though and what most hackers are working on is to find a way to downgrade back to 1.5 from 2.01+
