There is a job opening for a junior underwriter for Carevest. Does anyone know someone who might work for the company and might share their experienec with them? Also anyone who knows what a day in the life of a junior underwriter would be like?

They are a commercial mortgage company that sources and funds higher interest commercial mortgages. ie construction and development financing outside the banks.

Been around for a while...strong company.

Junior underwriter would spend their day doing the underwriting and due diligence on commercial mortgage deals....tons of paperwork, spreadsheets, reports, phone calls, etc etc.

Might be a good opportunity to move up in the commercial mortgage industry.

I can tell you that Carevest in the past made me a lot of money in investments :)

Other than that - I can't really contribute anything of importance.

What course did you take to become an underwriter?
