Hey guys. I'm going to upgrade our database server sometime today, so please, for the folks that have my MSN, don't message me when it's down .

Trying out some dual core CPUs to see how well they work on the database server.

OK, done!

Lemme know if you guys notice any performance changes (better or worse).

Went from 3.4Ghz 64-bit CPUs to 3.0Ghz dual core 64-bit CPUs.

Slower clock speed, but doubled the CPU count :D.

for that short period of time, i drew funny objects in autocadd and spun them continously on the 3d orbit. i dont think i could get through a day of school without beyond.

seems a tad faster, especially for posting.

Will probably go through one more upgrade in the next few days... using beyond to test work stuff right now. Went from 7200rpm SATA drives to 10,000rpm SATA drives today. Next up, 15,000rpm SCSI drives.
