I noticed a new forum today... it's getting rediculous isn't it? I think I counted 22 forums, plus sub topics...

So I guess my point is, does beyond need more moderators??? ;)

I realize beyond is getting pretty big but I liked it better when there were fewer forums as it made it seem like people were posting more often, it was a livlier atmostphere, when will the madness stop?

I guess it would be a clusterfuck if there were fewer forums, but where will the line be drawn?

One forum was added, while another was removed from the main page, so the # of forums hasn't really increased.

Most people read active topics anyway i'd assume.. I rarely check certain sections.

Beyond has grown from a "Car Forum" into a "Car Community", and it has expanded as such.

Cant please everyone these days.

People over the years demanded more variety and as the membership base grew, so did the discussions, so we offered a more rounded community catering above and beyond the car stuff. I see no problem with that, since our main goal is still automotive related.

The good ole days of Beyond 2002.

Oh man, that brings back memories!

It reminds me of a time when Ask Leo was actually funny and you could sit down and read all the new posts within an hour's time... and they were actually worth reading.

dont get me wrong not saying that growth isn't a good thing...just saying this forum has gone FAR beyond car related topics, which is fine...if you wanted that to happen

i mean you come to beyond.ca, well i did anyway, looking for automotive information and discussion, and you find instead which health club is better in Calgary...you know what i mean

there are other forums around on the internet which cater to the social lifestyle...topic specific to non car related things etc.

if beyond.ca had stayed true to that i believe there wouldnt be so much reposting of things, so much senselss juvenile flaming of opinions and ideas brouight to the discussion, and way less people on here...which is sometimes a good thing...

think of the people who have been banned and what topics they were discussing while getting banned...have the majority been dealing with performance and maintenance discussions relating to a car, truck or other....or has the "person who has gone beyond the limit for this forum" been banned while in other "off topic" forums?

(i really dont know that's why i am posing the question)

ciao

Can I request a new sub-forum in the Suggestions/Comments section for posts concerning "Complaints about too many forums". Could also have a "Why was X Banned?" section.
