That SRT-4 is old news.

By the time people can buy Mazdaspeed 3, this new SRT-4 would be on the market too:

300HP 264lb/ft

It's getting a bit much going thru from front wheels IMO. But I'm sure SRT-4 would again undercut all Japanese competition in price by a wide margin.

How is Mazda going to sell RX8's when the cheaper Mazdaspeed 3 can smoke it? The Caliber SRT-4 and Mazdaspeed 3 is win-win for people that can't afford Sti's, 350Z's, and EVO's but want something fast.

Well the Protege 3 doesn't exactly elicit drools either. They are like the Neon SRT-4 which was more about performance than style. If you want both prepare to spend over $40K.

I agree. You could be driving a Mexican made VW instead that will have every electrical item fail, or better yet the 1.8L oil sludge problem that plagued VW & Audi. Much better to own one of the most unrealiable vehicles made in the last five years over a Neon.

haha man you really hate those RX8's. I agree with you though..

I won't be counting on the Mazdaspeed 3 to be spanking many SRT4 owners anytime soon however.. as far as I know Mazdaspeed isn't anything like mopar aftermarket.

If they keep the price in the 28-30 range it will be excellent news.

not feeling it being a wagon. :D
I am sure the RX8 can outhandle most cars in an autocross. ie not a straight road.

PREDICTION: This thread is going to turn into a America VS Japan battle. (Even though mazda is owned by ford)

IMO the Fordspeed 3 and SRT-4 are equally ugly but useful fun wagons.

:banghead: fanboys again..... May as well call them all out.......

You know what else are ugly, Impreza, WRX, STi, Lancer sportback, Matrix and Fit.

That is cause a B16 is totally better than a 2.3L forced induction motor from Ford... I mean Mazda. ;)

If the Mazdaspeed 6 is any indication, I don't think this car will be anything to write home about.

Man o man you are just ignorant, probably jealous too

The Mazdaspeed 6 sounded great on paper but apparently is underwhelming in person. Hopefully the 3 is a little better.

Wow, you're threatening me with a car that isn't out yet.

It'll perform like an original SRT-4, only do it for more money and 4 years after the original SRT-4 came out.
