Anyone know if you need to be the original owner to claim recalls on vehicles,or if you only have so much time to bring it in to claim the recall?:dunno: Just asking cause the wiper switch on my vehicle failed & i realized it was a recall problem.

Was it a recall in 1963?
;)
A recall is recall, you don't have to be the original owner. As for time restraints, I'm not entirely sure.
no, you don't have to be the original owner. i know that for a fact. my parents had a recall on one of their cars that was bought used. not sure about the time frame though.

I had a 96 sunfire that had a recall, got it done no problem, and I wasn't the original owner.

Recalls, there is no time limit. Technical Service Bulletins, there is.
