Hi All,

just wondering what everyone thinks of pre-fab sub boxes for cars (350z to be exact).. i'm looking to upgrade the crappy Bose system and vs. spending a good chunk of cash on a custom install i was hoping someone else had some experience with something like this..

and the sub would be:

thanks!

Prefab's work ok, but when custom boxes are designed, they are made to work best with your particular sub. I would not cheap out on a box, when going with subs like polys.

your better off to go custom and have it put where the factory sub is/was. Then put the amp behind the passangers seat in the little cubby. That way everything is out of site

thanks for the input.. i've checked on a few 350z forums that say i'll end up sacrificing some serious sound quality for stealth with the factory location .. plus i don't want it muffled behind me .. i guess i'll keep looking..

I know of a shop in Edmonton that has done it stealthy and i heard it and it sounded GOOD i was very suprized. The big thing would be to use subs that are meant to be in a box the size you have to work with. 'Cause the set up i heard didn't sound muffled at all.
