I currently work for ibm at home and it's great but sucks at the same time. Pay is decent, but I just need a change. I've been tossing my resume out everywhere, but If you know of a place that is hiring for deskside or helpdesk toss me the name of the company and I'll send a resume over. I would really rather deskside support, but if it is helpdesk with some deskside support that will be fine too. Even if the company is not hiring but is a good one send them my way and I'll toss a resume to them as well. And FYI I have about 2 years working experience in IT with some deskside support and a B.Sc. in Computer Informations systems from Devry and I was a Dental technician, a window maker/installer, apprentice electrician, cook, etc. so I can do anything MUHAAA,

Thanks in advance.

I've had many offers to Edmonton, but have a wife and 2 little kids and unless I get paid a ton more, then it won't be worth it. But thanks anyways.

Guest-Tek, located in the NE. I think they're hiring but having a 2nd language (french/italian/spanish) would make you a shoe in.

Yeah the pay for T1 support is pretty shitty, I worked it last summer and I think it was $14/hr. The pay structure went something like T1 (14/hr), T2 (35-38k), Team Managers (40-42k), and then NOC (~42k?). I think that's as high as the ladder goes, though, and it's not a particulairly long ladder to climb.

Yeah T1 does suck, but at IBM I make about $40k right now for T1 working from home. And we just had someone leave so if anyone is looking for helpdesk, give me a ping and I'll send you the details

hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Instead of paying you more money (like you deserve) they install TVs and bring in food once in a while so you think its an awesome place to work. Its almost impossible to get fired from that place unless you're the CEO and you pilfered millions of dollars out of the company when it had its IPO.

If you're going to school and need a part time job that you can just not show up at when you dont feel like it and not suffer any consequences, then work at GTK. If you want to be paid as an IT professional work somewhere else.
