what a stupid comment that was. anyone with a brain interested in this car would want to know where the $40,000 went if the engine is stock....especially since you have no info on the rebuild....and it was repainted?

Tell him I'll offer $22k.. 55k is just plain sillly for that. Have a look at these cars:

I have to agree...$55000k for a re-built / re-paint with 75,000 miles is way over priced!

Does he have the full service history from day one? How many owners? Is it in the snap ring range? Who painted it? (please don't say Macco)

Good luck...

Yeah, the reason I'm offering so low is because the car would need to be completely stripped and repainted the factory Red.. prolly 8-10k right there to do it right.

Agreed. Also those other cars that you posted are so much nicer at a fraction of the cost.

We are clearly "off" his dick. As a matter of fact, if we were anywhere near his dick we would be kicking it.

$ 40K spent .. not hard to imagine ..

It is 15 yr old .. even average spend $1500 a yr on service .. that is almost $20K .. ( tires, brake, tune up, fixing this and that .. )

Then probaby $10K for rebuilt the engine .. and $3K -4K for paint .. and probaby another $3K for wheels and 1K for DVD player ??

:dunno:

But he shouldn't count all the service bills together as "upgrade" cost ..

There are so many orange NSX around already .. I agree with every said .. that is the worst colour I have seen on that car .. :banghead:

How about you post your friend's contact info so people who are interested can direct their questions to the owner since you don't seem to know anything about the car.

^ lets hope so!!!

:nut:

Man that first NSX was amazing, but screw the car, I want the estate in the background. :hitit:

I'd like to see even a minor break down of the $40k, thats idiotic... especially with no actual performance mods listed, just rims and paint.

this comment is towards those that are dropping far more retarded opinions on the car from the limited information given on the car so far and no intention of purchasing the vehicle

could you explain why the buyer would need to strip down the car entirely and repaint it a different color when it previously went through that process to get painted orange?

i realise 40large on the car is a bit sketchy with not much to show for it, but dont take it from us, ask around how much it is to maintain a nsx i believe 95EagleAWD owns one aswell. we just replaced the tires on this thing and it costed us $600 for one. all the coolant hoses were just replaced at the beginning of summer.

Then the price should be even lower. You can't expect a buyer to pay a high price for a car with high maintenance costs. The economics just aren't there for that. I don't think you would buy a car for an inflated price because maintenance costs are high. If anything, the price should be lower to offset those costs.

The only cars that that doesn't apply to are genuine exotics like Ferarri, etc. The NSX does not fit in that category.

sorri that post was for those that were curious where $40k of work had been done on the car, anyways i have told you everything i kno about the car. my friend is the owner who asked me to post up some pictures for him. i understand there are quite a number of ppl that are having problems with the price he wanted to put up, just give him a ring and voice your concerns to him if you are interested and wanting to negotiate.

great looking ride..
but like said before, maitenance costs... relate nothing to engine cost's and 'upgrades'. that is expected on a 1991 vehicle?

Is this your car or your friends? Or do you share the car? Reason I ask is you mention "we just replaced the tires on this thing and it costed us $600 for one"

Also, is the transmission in the snap ring range?
