Am I the only one that's getting pissed about this shizer?

Nissan 350Z, in Canada = $46,000

Nissan 350Z, in US (but Canadian funds) = $30,000!!!!

I know we have higher import fees, but COME ON!!! 60% mark up? What the he77???

Anyone work for a Nissan dealership that can shed some light on this ridiculous markup?

Car prices are NOT dependent on the exchange rate between countries.

This is pretty well known now. Its almost dumb to buy cars in Canada. We get ripped off badly and it makes no sense. Drive across the border and get it.

O yea it has been like that for a while. That's why you see more and more people importing from the States. I mean it's a hastle sorta but if you end up saving all that money, then it's quite worth it!

NO WARRANTY for over the boarder cars! that's the only downside... unless you are saving SO much, that you can affor $3k-$5k in new warranty fees

Wrong, some manufactures do accept across the border warranty, theres a thread on it. Subaru is a well know one.

and you wont be able to buy your dollar at that price, the bank will give you a worse value ,more likely 86-87cents as opposed to the 90 its at right now as they need to make their money

Duty only if the car is built outside North America.
