I saw one about a year and a half ago going down Nosehill.
Quite unexpected. I was just staring out the window and all of a sudden we're sitting right next to a DeLorean. WTF? where the hell did that thing come from?

I was looking for the trail of fire behind it, it didn't SEEM like it was going 88mph right before it wound up next to me. I tried to peek through the window, didn't SEE the "transflux capacitor" or whatever...so...Hmmm. A mystery.

The DMC-12 used the PVR V6 "B28F", created by a joint venture of Peugot, Volvo and Renault hence is moniker, "PVR". Ultimately it proved unreliable, go figure.

I know a gentleman who owns a couple of them. They're not particularily fast, but will never rust (good ole stainless steel body). Fun to drive around in, extremely tempermental!

His plate is BKNTIME but if you catch it quickly it looks kind of like "Bikini Time.."

He even has a project one that does indeed have the flux capacitor in it, along with the Mr.Fusion blender. If you've been to World of Wheels you will have seen it.

sweet spot

being stainless steel it must be super heavy

Zero102
05-14-2006, 07:49 PM
No heavier than a normal steel car......

The frames however are not stainless. They are very prone to rusting. There is a company down in the states that refurbishes them, and sells them in the $30-40k range. Rebuilt motors, ground-up retoration done to each of them.
Every now and them you see a delorean around here, but the rarest car I have seen is an old Bricklin (sp?)

I saw one 2 years ago driving across the stoney trail bridge, Rarest spot i've seen to date.

There wicked cars! and not so many of them around.
I heard they went out of business because the vehicles have such electrical problems the dealers didn't know what to do with them so they stopped selling them because they were all lemons??
