I can feel the Xbox360
'core' systems now selling out this week just from this hack acually ....
all wanting the samsung/toshiba drives *lol*

(whats ironic is the same happened on Xbox 1...sammy drives were always wanted for burned media/compatibity/reliable)

Ill give it till tonight before hitachi hacked firmware is cracked

:drama:

It will just sell more consoles.. and you will not be able to utilize xbox live which is much more integrated into the games now that it was with xbox.

Its not that big of a deal. :dunno:

not to go into ...too deep here
but acually it doesnt effect Xbox Live whatsoever
(for now but I know microsoft see's this on my boards anyways)

Cool, gonna have fun with this. Would love to see how MS counter this via Xbox Live?

so if you play a burnt game you are screwed for xbl?.. what if your 360 isnt plugged into the internet?...

Hahaha, good one

I don't think it'll be that quick. It'll probably come in the form of an mandatory update with firmware checker in the payload. No update, no live.

I'll wait a few more weeks and see how this play out.

Maybe the end of May
So its either keep offline and save backup's or play on Live with that risk ...

In the end you do still need to buy the games ...unlike Xbox1

But we will see how it ends up

Either way microsoft makes more money cause now you got people buying up core systems like mad *lol* so who really wins here ...nobody acually ...

Bill Cosby

why do you still have to buy the games to play them burnt?

rent?

deadsoulasis
05-15-2006, 07:15 PM
true i suppose ...renting you could get any with it ....
but i dont think its a great idea ...

any small blemish in the dvd its a failed burn
(ive burned over 100 of them)maybe 75 of them burned properly (2.4x speed)

Tmod-Xbox(from xboxhacker.net) is making a mod chip though as I type this sadly

Bill Cosby

sadly?.. why is that sad?.. will that be able to make the burnt games undetectable?... i remember on my regular xbox, i had a modchip with a switch so when i was gonna play a real game on xbl it wouldnt detect..

hey, no mod chip talk... this will get closed if you guys keep talking about mod chips.

deadsoulasis

Well I find it sad in a way ....
(Cant talk about mod chips here though) ....that aside

Just when everything is a copy of a copy though ...(like it is now with movies/games/software)

It wreaks the industry ...cause why put effort and years of work into something ..only to have it have it copied later on....and thats the trend..to me ..............thats sad enough
