lowering springs.

Finally looking into lowering the car by approx 1.5 inches. Already picked out the springs based on other Volvo enthusiast boards, what i need to know is if it is recommended to replace the shocks at the same time? Or is just a simple spring upgrade good enough? FYI the car is 12 yrs old now. Shocks have never been replaced.

I would change out the shocks FOR SURE. I would even go as far as to say you should change out all the bushings as well. I changed all 3 when i did mine.
