Greetings friends,

I am sorta new in town (just 8 months since moving from the other side of the Pond, nee Europe). In my former life I was (and truth must be told somewhere deep in my big heart still am) a long time turbocharged SAABs' addict, having been through 4 9000s (with the total combined mileage of 400K).
Now, here, everything new and what can be a better chance to try out something new? So I imported two ultimate German wunder-mobiles from Japan (MB 300E-24 and BMW 535i) to find out which would thrill (and fit) me best. MB did not make it to the finals while the BMW certainly turned a ride from Vancouver in a 11 hours worth of non-stop fun ;) ) and got my vote hands down. So here I am, introducing my precious self and hoping to see you guys and your cars some time. BTW, when is the next meet?

Oh, and a question, if you please - the AC does not work, so any advice as where to go (trusted specialist) will be most appreciated. I am still trying to figure out whether it was configured originally for R12 or R134 though. :dunno:

I am from england as well, nice to see you on here.

Check out sheni's auto trend, or take it to a dealer if he cannot figure itout.

Thanks a bunch, snowcat. Will be taking my "garage" for the PoP inspection tomorrow and after that will drop by to Auto Trend.

Oh, and my native land is in mainland Europe, another 3 thou or so km from UK ;)

Welcome mate,

My parents emigrated from the UK in 1981 and bought as their first car, a Honda Civic... Sounds like you have picked up something a little more fun!

You can get Sheni (Autotrend) to have a look at that air conditioner; 243-3232. Either the refrigerant needs a boost or the actual A/C unit has seized up. If left sitting for too long, old A/C units just plain stop working.

Welcome to Calgary, welcome to our little club and we hope to see you out at the next meet.

Thanks for the welcoming note, robpark:)

Actually, I come from Moscow, Russia via Hirosima, Japan (hence the nick, "a man from Hiroshima" in Russian):D :D

I am looking forward for the next meet too! And hope to see you all there!

I am fully aware of a danger of not using the AC for a prolonged period... So I want to have it fixed ASAP.

Thanks again for the piece of wisdom, guys! :)
