I am currently looking for a new vehicle - another pickup if possible. My current truck is only getting somewhere around 15 mpg and I am really needing to get something that gets more. Say at least around 30 mpg. What type of engine should I be looking for and how much do they usually run? I know its a little vague, but I'm not really sure right now what I should be looking for. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

If you want gas mileage then get a Jetta/Golf/Passat TDI.
If you want a truck that gets mileage then get a diesel (Chevy/Ford or my favorite...Cummins Dodge).

Not hard to convert. a liter is ~ a 1/4 gallon (0.26) and 1 km ~ 0.62 miles

4 litres to a gallon roughly cut km in half thats the easiest

You didn't list your budget, or if you care about build quality, assuming both I would suggest a toyota tacoma or nissan frontier. I'm also assuming you don't want a huge truck becausr they don't get good mileage either.

Maybe because her location is listed as Kansas. . They use miles per gallon and also when you spell there you have to say ZEEE instead of ZED otherwise they look at you funny.
(turbo) deisel hands down, just dont drive like the dicks in the dodge fullsizes, (those are the assholes that ALWAYS take off like their racing at red lights)

ANY tdi is off the hook, my dad bought my sis a passat tdi and its gets 980km/tank, kind of pointless to buy a $40000 car to save gas
