I have recently got the opportunity to work with a Professor at the U of C regarding a Road Safety Project. What I have to do is to propose an idea for research regarding road safety. I have a few ideas in my head, but the topics can be rather broad. I have a wide array of options open to me, but I was just reaching out to the Beyond community to see what you might find interesting.

Just as a basis on what I am going for ie.

Drunk driving awareness

Speed Signs, Road Signs in general

Youth driving/Impaired Driving etc.

The effect of Police on speeds of drivers.

Traffic Lights (ie. Having a light to see if it is a fresh green or stale green)

Roundabouts

Effect of Road Condiitons on speed

These are a few ideas I had, anything you guys could expand on. New Ideas, I am very open, all input is appreciated thanks.

Road rage

Common Courtesies(Left is for passing)

Threshold braking

Left foot braking... (oh wait, wrong class)

This reminded me of a chick in my drivers-ed class

Teacher: "I taught a class for drunk driving"

Girl in class: "Is that where people learn how to drive when they are drunk?"

IE - 60 in a 110

turning left at an intersection, and taking forever to do it.

yielding for a truck that was coming our way but no sign saying to yield

the list goes on.
