View Full Version : Dealers of JDM for VG30ET Engine in Calgary

Hey,

Just curious what my options are for finding a VG30ET (T=Turbo) engine for my 86' 300zx NA. (for future swap) Is their a recommened dealer in the Calgary area, or are their others to stay away from?

Im talking JDM or domestic, does not really matter.

i dont know much about nissans sorry..but that was the only nissan motor on the site form a 300... i think

That is not too bad for a complete VGDET, is your budget 1K for engine and swap?

Would it not be easier to boost the current motor? Junkyard parts?

Finding a used VG30DET for under $1000 is going to be tough. Even 1st gen b16 swaps go for about $1500 and those motors are just about 20 years old.

I think he's looking for the single cam VG30ET not the newer Z32 DET so I think its gonna be pretty hard to find being so old and all. Might just recommend looking in the junkyards and doing a rebuild. I've seen a few a while back of old 300zx at PYP. Hope that helps

Oh. Oops, no matter how many times I look at it, I see DET. haha. Good luck trying to find that motor. Try jdmsource or yoko if you haven't already.

Yah its the single CAM, its just easier to find a whole engine, then trying to find each part to do the upgrade. + you have to pull the motor and mess with it a lot anyways if upgrading. Just trying to see if there are any options. Worsts comes to worst I will just wait till somthing comes available.

might have to special order it. to my knowledge jdm source and most places don't stock the vg30et because of the lack of interest in them.

you can always call jdm and he can probably get you one on special order
