Bought a product, vendor shipped it and it got lost in transit the one time I use USPS. The tracking number shows it has been received, where I don't know.

The vendor says he is looking into it, but its been a week.

So what the hell do I do?
A) Ask for money back
B) Do I report the package missing some how?

What do I do?

you may have gotten scammed also..... im pretty sure the USPS tracking#'s dont have the destinations listed on them. He could have given you a tracking # for another package going to uh florida.

Of the 400 times or I've shipped with USPS, only ONE has gotten lost, and that package was actually sent to a destination to the US on my behalf. I've yet to have one actually gone missing coming to Calgary. Of the 4 times I shipped Fedex, they "lost" a $1,200 package (ended up paying me out). I am pretty sure they stole it cause they knew the contents (rare slot cars).

Before we jump to conclusions, we need more info: how's the vendor's feedback? Does he have a copy of the shipping documents? Receipt showing where/when package was shipped? What was the package worth, insured? What method? Lots and lots of info needed.

EDIT: LOL, someone posted as I was typing.

Anyway, I shipped EMS once from Japan. However, the sender mislabelled it and it got sent back to him. The tracking info showed exactly what you show: that there was an attempted delivery, but then it got "accepted', but in fact, it was actually being returned to Japan.

Pick up the phone and call Canada Post. Have tracking # ready. They will know what happened to it, since they handled the package last.

go to your post office(whichever one usually gets your packages) and ask them if they have something for you. I have gone to mine more than once to pick something up and ended up with them having two or three things there for me. it's up to the postman to put the delivery notice in your box...and often they don't.

My buddy had his ipod missing for over a month.

It just disappeared. UPS called him and everything, but nothing happend. He contacted the seller and the seller said he would "look into it"

He finally contacted the guy back almost two months after it was shipped and threatened to take action with Paypal.

Got a brand new ipod in a week.

Not saying that would be recommended, but you may have to get your hands dirty if the problem persists.

Another guy I know had his package end up in Ohio for some reason.

I think that just means they delivered to Canada Post who then delivers it.

Email the seller again. If he doesn't respond in timely manner then just report to eBay for item not received. Too much bullshit happening on eBay these days. If his feedback is good then maybe something happened in between but waiting for over a week is unacceptable. Heres the link:

Well I just learnt something.

If you miss your package it goes to your local post office. From the office if you do not claim it, it goes to Puralator. From Puralator is gets shipped back to the sender.

The more you know!

contact ebay about it, if you dont get your product within 30 days of purchase they refund your money. I don't know what the value of the item is but, if you bought it on yor credit card you have insurance upto $1000.00 dollars. call you bank explain what has happened and CONTACT EBAY. Most of all call the seller and try work something out, if all else fails leave major back feedback. Tip, always pay the insurance when purchasing an item, ebay is more likely to help you if the insurance was payed a long with shipping.
