DO YOU HAVE ONE FOR SELL??

PLEASE >> send me info!

120,000 km is good .. I met the owner with an Orange-red E30 M3 .. with 24,000 km .. ( yeah .. ) and he wanted $25K for it ....

I found one with 70K km couple years ago .. mint cond .. they guy wanted $20K ... and I know a guy who bought one with 200,000 km ( 120,000 mile on it ) for $10K .. but then he spent $5K on fixing it right the way .... :dunno:

So hard to set a price on those car ...

Pic, and service record please! I really want a good cond, but not too pricy E30 M3!!

$15K .. sounds not bad ..

Local car?

The problem is .. on those car .. it could be very expensive to fix or keep ...

Actually, if the previous owner has all the service doen by dealer, it is not bad, however, I have seen lots of people, bought them from US, or import from Europe, since they are very hard to find parts, it could be expensive!

It is just like buying a late 70's 911 .. you may find one for $15K .. and in good shape and low maintain .. or you may find one will give you lots of headache ..

Get a full head to toe inspection before you buy one!!

Is the owner's name Thomas? If so, it might be my old car.

Thanks C4S, that's my concern too, most people who
own a M3 probably drive the s### out of it (nothing wrong
with that). Even with regular maintance, you just do not know if it will become a money pit.

There was a 1997 5spd. M3 sedan in the AutoTrader last week, Cosmos black on tan leather, 139ish kms, asking $26K obo..... I went to go see it and there was some slight irregularities in the body/paint, but looked good for the $$. I took it for an inspection at Alpine Autowerks.10mins. into the inspection, the mechanic told me to stay away from it. NO oil in the crankcase, noisy lifters (probably due to oil starvation), drity-ass air filter filled with sunflower seeds, tranny case/both plugs leaking, rear diff. leaking, bent support bar under the car, rear wheel bearings shot, 2 different pairs of winter tires, all rotating the wrong way.....I had lowballed the guy $20K at first, but ended up agreeing to $24K, pending inspection. Basically, I probably would've had to put in another $15K (being conservative) so even @ $20K thecar was a ripoff....Just make sure it passes the inspection with flying colors (or close to it) and do all the necessary lien checks/carfaxes etc.......MAybe even get the compression/leakdown testing done....

If it's an '87 it is likely an import. I'm pretty sure the E30 M3 didn't come to North America 'til '88.

E30 M3's seem to be all over the map, I've been casually looking for a year or so. I'm not interested in keeping it stock though, out with the old S14 in with the new(er) S54 with SMG  to create a 'real' M3, not a fat heavy M3 that comes out of BMW these days.

With the dollar so good, the USA is looking like a nice place to shop.

Go south for a much better selection and better prices. Unless you really prefer the E30 M3s, you should really consider an E36 as it is a much better vehicle.

How about those 40 some yr old mustang or vette :D

People pay big buck for it! $100K or more!

Come on .. it is not like a 20 yr old civic .... :D

Any 15 yr old NSX still worth 30K plus ..

a 20 yr old Ferrari .. could still worth a lots ... :D

5freshfish: I can't remember the guy's name .. but he is original owner for that M3, and in his 60's ... I don't think you are 60 yr old .. yet? :D
