Alamo Industries - Turbo Rebuilds

Anyone ever deal with these guys? We're you happy with them?

I've talked to them on numerous ocations, they seem really expensive and not very informative.

They do not have (or atleast the last time i check) all the proper equipement to do all the balancing. A simple seal replacement they would be fine but for anything else i would look somewhere else.

if your getting a turbo rebuilt it should be fine since all the parts have already been balanced from the factory. VSR balancing is not neccessary. It may prolong the life of a turbo but is mainly for "quiet operation". I'd only send it out to get done if I was running really high boost and spending lotsa money on my setup. For 10-12 psi daily and more at the track its no biggy. Just my opinion.. (and I've run turbos fine like this)

Hey Loose

Alamo is great, very knowledgable and they do have all the proper equipment. Max, Erik and I have all had turbo's rebuilt there. Max has had a couple done so that should tell you about their quality.
