SIM Card Question!

Alright, So I got a SIM Card question.
Let's say I buy a SIM card off of someone, and not the actual store. The SIM is brand new and never been activated. I only want to be using it for like couple months using pay as you go. What do I do to get a number on it and put some 'pay as you go' money on it! Guys need help on this one, quick! Cheers

the sim card will have a number on it. im pretty sure...

you have to call the provider and tell em you need to activate your sim card, and they will go though the process with you. A new card will not have a phone number attached to it, nothing is attached to it

Before you buy, call the provider and verify that the sim card can be used. I've gotten scammed twice by sellers who have sold the sims but Rogers claims that they are used.

Cheers for the info guys. I will keep that in mind weapon. So when i meet up with the seller, i call the provider to make sure it hasn't been activated then, yea?

Yep or you can activate it online. My cuzn got burned by a person who activated it then sold him it :thumbsdow

Anyone knows how long it takes for them to activate it after you enter all the info online!? I did it around 11 this morning and still haven't heard anything from them. Got one email saying that I should get another email soon, but nothing yet! Any ideas?!
