Safe mode?

fuck, its been so long since Ive had an issue with my computer, Ive forgotten how to run in safe mode. How do i boot in safe mode? Windows XP home... :banghead: fucking roommate downloaded something and its making my comp go wild

start > run > msconfig > boot.ini > *here you wanna check /bootsafemode

or just press and hold f8 when u boot up ur computer
