Please note this is for a job in Calgary, we need people that will be physically in our offices. Now should you have MAD skills and think you are an asset (read carefully below), toss me an email and you never know (but it would not be super consistant hours).

Senior Developer

otis & huckleberry is looking for a skilled web/application developer to join our growing team. A successful candidate will have both superior technical skills in web based programming languages and systems, while demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include:
Working with the otis & huckleberry new media solutions team to properly plan, design, and implement web sites & applications.

-Help management determine time estimates for project tasks.
-Determine technical requirements and choose appropriate technologies.
-Create and document system/application structure.
-Develop, de-bug, and launch high level backend systems which integrate into our designs and templates.

Required Skills:
-BSc. In Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
-3+ years working experience designing and building web applications.
-2+ years experience working with Linux and Apache web servers.
-Expert knowledge of PHP, mySQL, JavaScript.
-An understanding of Standards based design, XHTML & DOM Scripting.
-Knowledge of Flash, RoR, ColdFusion, Java, C++ a major benefit.
-The ability to throw a Frisbee and be generally amazing.
-Must be able to work in our Calgary offices.
