The brake gives out a "ka ka ka" (not squeaking sound) when I apply the brake while the car is travelling at slower speed, less noise if I step on it all the way. It still brakes fine but it feels like the noise is getting louder.

what could be the problem? any reliable shop I can bring it to get it fixed in the NW?

thank you.

Sounds like you have "warped" rotors. I'd replace the front rotor and pads. But before you put on the new rotors, clean the hub up with some brake cleaner and a wire brush.

Not 100% sure on this, but I believe the sound started after we got new brake pads installed from Canadian Tires. Is it possible that they f***ed up? This is also why I want to take it to another shop.
