View Full Version : Sticker weights on Rim
I just got a set of rims put onto my car on Wednesday and today after finishing washing my car I noticed that there was a lone 1/4 oz. sticker weight that was on the lip of the rim. I know it wasn't there before as I had polished the lips of all the rims when I first got them. Should this be a concern for tire balance? I'm just asking to see if I should call the shop tomorrow to get it re-balanced.

that just means the wtires and wheels are almost totally balanced on thier own, not a huge concern, but i'd watch to make sur eit doesn't fall off. i have had those before and 3 of my 4 wheels had them fall off within a week.

no the strip can be broken in to 1/4oz stickers, that's fine, but if any of them fall off it should be re balanced.

yes weights falling off will make the tire/wheel combo unbalanced...take it back to whoever did it and they should re balance it no charge

unless you actually want to drive your car fast, you cannot get a true balance with a behind the spoke balancer
