When I was driving down John Laurie today this pt cruiser go's flying by me which made me laugh becuase I hate those things and everyone who drives them thinks they are actually a hot rod. But then when I was behind him a light I realized it was the new turbo model. I didn't think these were even on sale yet. What does everyone think of them? I still don't like the looks but the new power is respectable atleast.

Good for a PT Cruiser...and its pretty cheap too...Will make everyone else who bought the standard PT's right away and didn't wait for the turbo'd one, cry because they did.
I still hate them tho...

the turbo PT's aren't that fast either.... i just don't like how most of the owners drive the thing like they own the road or something....

I am interested to see if Chrysler will do a better job with a turbo motor this time. (2.2/2.5 wasnt so hot)

It's almost the same engine as the SRT-4 apparently, so it couldn't be that bad? :dunno:

Chrysler has been using the turbo 2.4s in south america and mexico for quite awhile, this is just the first time they have offered them up here. Supposed to be not a bad motor, from what i've heard. Time will tell.

The PT Cruiser, turbo or not, will die just like everything else Plymouth came out with, and ultimately, like Plymouth itself.

Yeah, I think the PT is ugly, the back end is terrible, but I saw pictures of a convertable and it looked hot.

PT's are a lot more interesting than most minivans. Not many come with a 5 speed manual and a turbo engine.

Old dodge caravans came turboed.. and ou could put 20 some psi on the stock motor and run 12's with slicks... I got vids to prove it.

What are the numbers on the new PT's just so i dont go barking up the wrong tree

They shouldnt have turboed cars for rent... BAD idea. I wouldnt mind taking em out going WOT for a good 10 min then turn it right off. Do that a couple times and they are out a good 1000 bux

The GT's 0-60 in about 8 seconds for the crappo automatic but that drops to around 7.2 for the stick. They quarter at around 15 even depending on tire size how hot it is etc etc.

They have shown some big gains from changing the exhaust from a mufflered setup to a mufflerless setup like the SRT-4.

turbo mini's are sweet, but you will be hard pressed to get one into the twelve's with just 20 psi and slicks.

Wasn't so hot??? Ya I guess since they only sold hundreds of thousands of them. It's more like it wasn't so hot to you, so drive a Sunfire instead, those quad 4's were perfect when they first ran off the assembly line:rolleyes:
