Never delt with them myself, but friends of mine (including theken) have told me they can take a queens age to get parts sometimes. It only seems to be the carbon fibre parts though. I don't want to say too much without actually dealing with them myself.

But for me.... Speedtech =

Nice guys, but shop seems to be ran a tad sloppy, get the feeling that there cars come first before there customers. Parts take ages or lucky if they show up.

i have to agree about parts taking forever. After paying over $600 for a spec stage 2 clutch it took almost 2 months for it to come when they could have gotten it shipped express, esspecially since the guys at the tranny shop were getting pissed. none the less, i recieved the clutch and was very pleased.

they did a good job on the swap, but, they did not inform me about the clutch situation and left me to upgrade my fuel pump without informing me.

this was over 2 years ago, and i can bet that since than they do alot better work. they have an excellent staff and show quality in there cars

When i walked in the guy behind the counter was with his gf and they were surfing the net not really helping us out and also
Ordered a few parts after that and never got a call back. When i called asking about them they said they had nothing on there computers about the parts.

This thread shuld be done as a poll so we can see a total positive/negative comments when the thread gets longer.
So far it seems to be about 50/50 and that is generally not a good sign.... its as if to say when you go in there you have a 50% chance of getting good service. :dunno:

If someone were to do a thread about will and the boys at speedtech, i bet the ratio of good to bad wouldn't be as close. (more good than bad)

it goes both ways, some ppl shop at different stores, i have a buddy of mine with bad service from strd, he keeps complaining about his 5zigen rims, for his r32. bought them back in feb and are still waiting for two, i think it's 17 x 9 or 10, +25 offset, he's got his fronts but not the rears.

I haven't boughten anything personally from autodream yet, but i have always gotten good service.

speedtech goes the same way, if i'm looking for somethign i usually get helped, it just takes time

Well, I ordered a bumper about 2 months ago, still not in although it seems that VIS kindof does their own shit so probably not any fault of Autodream. Although a phone call a couple of weeks in to the process to tell me that it aint comming in for who the fuck knows when sure would have been nice. They seem like good guys, just slow to bring in parts.

Heres a question...are any of the guys at autodream even certified mechanics. A few of my buddys went and got their compustar installed at autodream...from what i've seen only two of them had a functionin install. One guys car broke down after a week...because of electrical problems (most likely because of a poor install -soon to know-).

And actually, even at most repair shops, there are only a couple fully certified mechanics, and most of the other guys are just lackeys with partial or no certification.

Then again, you don't really need to be a certified mechanic for things like alarm installs, suspension work, or whatever...if Autodream was really so bad, it wouldn't still be in business.

My old High school bud Mark works there. He's hilarious. Seems to be a good place, but they emphasis that they specialize in Nissan's almost exclusively.
So thats something to consider.

Keep in mind the majority of people to voice opinions usually have a bad experience or an exceptional one. This is how customer feedback usually goes so you can't exactly say that its 50/50 because I am sure there are alot of satisfied people who just won't speak up.

 Nissan specialists? My buddy went there with his rhd 180 and wanted seat brackets made for both driver & passenger seats. After 3 weeks (told it would talk a couple of days), he gave up and picked his seats up. Turns out they only finished the passenger side with what looked like a 20 minute weld job, had to drill multiple times, brackets didnt even line up when we got the thing into the car, and the brackets broke weeks later. Oh, and did I mention that they only had three of the four brackets done on that one seat? It seems that if you arent getting an engine swap and a couple grand of parts that they wont take your buisness seriously. Have heard declining opinions about them in recent weeks, and they dont seem to be getting any better. Sure the guys there may be 'good guys', but that doesnt make their work ethics, or their buisness good. Would recommend Roberto at Compact Tuning Lab! (Although, no body's perfect).

Thats not true at all. I once came in because my car was acting up and Nguyen took time out of his schedule to check it out and even re-do some of the hoses in the engine that were done wrong right on the spot.

Now thats service.

Heres how I feel about autodream...

When I did my RB swap in my 240 they were great, helped me with everything, did all the I asked. It was expensive, but overall I was happy, I got what I paid for and the service was great!

However, I have heard/seen stories about how people have been ass-raped by these guys...For example a friend of mine bought an ACT 2600 clutch for his talon. Usually around 500 is what this clutch will run you. BUT!!! At autodream they some how managed to get this kid to fork over nearly 800!!!!! Now, im not blaming autodream for this, this kid should have checked around do some priceing. But, GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! Marking up a clutch over 200.00...and then charging for shipping, that is garbage.

I think its all how you present yourself, if you seem to know what your doing and dont take shit people will treat you better. However, if your a tool who doesnt know what hes talking about you too will be screwed over and taken advantage of.....

But when it comes down to it three things matter:

1. Who you know
2. How much money you have
3. How much money you spend

Not only did they rape him on the price, but they also wouldn't return his deposit after about a month when it still hadn't come in and he had found another one for a much better price. And then another month later (that's two months for a clutch) it came in as the wrong clutch. Service isn't much better anywhere else though, so what can you do?

K Andy this is for you buddy

Andy is a pimp.

they have been good to me, taking time out of the day to fix little problems with the ecu, and idling problems

basically everyone has there bad moments at every store thats why these thread are pointless, one guy (me) loves what they do for you, other guys have a bad experence and hate it, but if they went back again they would probably like it, you cant get opinions till you go for yourself and find out, if its good  if its bad :thumbsdow

Ive had good experiences with Auto Dream, they installed my greddy profec Boost Controller 2 days before a RaceEvent in Edmonton last September( forget the name).. and then i had some sparking/studdering problems which i thought was related to the install becuase it happened 5 mintues after i picked up my car.... They Removed the EBC, and the problem was still there, once i figured out it was the distirbuter/plugs/wires and fixed that they re-installed It Free of Charge During the Qaulifying time up in Edmonton, i was very impressed ...I do think that Bad Experiences with anything will stick in someones mind more than the good ones, as Consumers i think we just Expect good service and dont think twice about it....right now i am waiting for parts from Auto dream that i ordered AND Payed for over 3 Months ago, I know its not entirely Thier Fault as the supplier is the main problem, but its still a piss off. And as Sad as it Is I Still think of how long I've been waiting for parts and forget about the Great Service I've Received in the Past, Just the Way it Goes.
