Project Car

Hey Guys,

So i am looking to start a project car this summer to be ready fro next summer and im trying to decide what car to get and i wanted to hear some of your suggestions...I've had an acura integra 98 gsr, and a 2001 honda prelude, so obivosuly i liek hondas, but im open to whatever suggestions people come up with. Im looking for something with a good baseline for power, or an easily swappable engine. Also something relatively new, like 96/97 upward. It will be a daily driver that im looking to make into a every other weekend track car, so i wont be tossing on crazy bodykits or anything, id want to just stick with the oem aero parts most likely or low key carbon fibre parts. Any ways, throw out some suggestions and thanks for the time...

i have a bout 19,000 to spend on the car, about 6000 to start for mods.

I'd suggest a wrx but you'd have to use some of your "mod money" to buy it. That being said some pretty good upgrades like exhaust and engine management are cheap, or you could do suspension and maybe brakes.

I would just buy something that isn't FWD mainly.

Not sure if you are a vw fan or not, but a mk3 or 4 GTi with a VR6 has some good baseline power to play with, also easily superchargeable or turbo:dunno:

I wouldn stay away from FWD if you want a decent track car in my opinion.
