I just installed some Helios H4 HID at 6000k. My problem is that on the left side it's kinda blue and on the right side it's kinda purplish (sorry i can't explain better) any ideas on what's wrong guys?

Was the kit used?

Different bulb temp maybe.

yeah it was used. the thing is i thought that but at one point the right one turned blue for a lil bit and changed back.

Maybe they're 2 different K's? Could also be the left ballast isn't working properly....

Me thinks your one bulb is going to be toast soon.
But doesnt really sound like any symptons of a fried bulb. :dunno:

Swap the bulbs to see how they work with the other ballast.

^^ yeah try that and if it's still the same check to see if your bulbs are seating flat with your housing.happened to me too damn H7 retainers:banghead:

Sounds to me like one bulb was probably replaced with a newer bulb. Even if both bulbs are spec'd with same color temp (i.e. 8000k or 10000k, which is what it sounds like), they will color shift over time. I think 4300k bulbs start out very white and then color shift towards blue (or was it the other way around?). Not sure what higher temp bulbs are like. Your best bet is to just replace both bulbs at the same time and sell your bulbs or something.

Are you running these in the Bosch housing? I hope you've got shields in there... Did you buy the helios set from the F/S forum? Why don't you just ask the guy what he did?

so i switched the bulbs around and yes i guess i can conclude it's the bulb. where's a good place to go buy new bulbs?
