The guy driving that Lotus is an IDIOT. When he first passes that Porsche and locks up the brakes to avoid the F40... that's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen at a track day. You wonder why he can catch an F40 and a GT3? Because the F40 is a 400k CAD car and I bet the owner really doesn't want to see $400,000 into a wall. Or in a gravel trap with the rear taken off because some IDIOT with an Elise wanted to show off for the camera.:rolleyes:

yea, seemed like everyone else (right at the end especially, with the porsche) was just cruisen around the track and this asshole thought it was a full on race, its people like that that cause/get into accidents

If it was just a track day and not a full race then Lotus-boy pulled some jack-ass moves.

The Lotus' performance surprises me a little, but not really. In an Australian GT series a few years ago, they had F355, 911's, and Lotuses... the best Lotuses never won or really challenged the best Porsches and best Ferraris but they were strong and could beat slower Porsches.
