View Full Version : Rattling sound coming from rear
I drive an 01 Prelude SE that has been lowered and doeshave coilovers.
When im driving at low speeds there is a very annoying rattling coming out of the rear of the car.
I have taken it to three different shops and they cant seem to find anything wrong.
Any suggestions?

From my limited experience, I`ll try to tell you the possible causes.
Now, based on your description it could be one of the following
- Brakes
- Suspensions
- Exhaust?
New struts in the back so i dont think that could be it.
Definetly not exhaust or brakes.

I can hear the shield too, on my car. It's minimal, so i don't pay attention to it, you should be able to hear it if you just rev the engine while being parked. Just rev, jump out and look under the car, it should be visible... more or less.

Yeah I would bet its the heat shield, unless it sounds inside, then it could be your trunk liner rattling inside the body panels?? good luck
