Hey guys, I'm looking into buying some rims for my car and I'm shopping around and I was curious...
how much did you guys pay for 4 rims and 4 tires (i say 4 because I dont want a price per)
I was looking and on average for rims you would be spending $800 and another $700 for tires.
Is contemporary motor sports good to deal with? I mean with their pricing? Are their prices fair?

and... one more question, I have an 06 civic coupe... would 15's look good?

for 15's..you can get 4 tires as low as $350 for a set...all about shopping around and what your looking for out of your tires...

15's definitely look good on a 06 civic coupe..but you'll need to drop it and have around 195-205/50-55/15 tires on them.

Really? I've heard good things about Costco and their tires - cheap and good.
and for 15's, I'm still contemplating because it does happen to be a sleeker and sharper car so I am having a hard time on 15's 16's or 17's.

What would be best to do first? Springs or the rims?

I'd go with a solid set of 16's, they are a great size; not too big not too small. 15's almost seem like there is not enough rim for a bigger car, sure a smaller civic hatch they would be fine, but an 06 is a bit bigger of a car, go with 16's or 17's. CMS has great prices and I believe they still are offering a discount for beyond members, just PM Bob and he'll set you up with a great deal. For tires you can pick up some Nexen 3000's for around $125 a tire, they are cheap and supposed to be a very good tire (comparable to the Kumho 712's).

With whatever you choose goodluck and be sure to post pics once your done :)

Oh and yes you may want to lower your car an inch when you get rims, you get the 4x4 affect if you dont

contemporary is a great place, they get my thumbs up...on your car I would recommend 17's, 15's will look really small...If it were me I would probably get 18's, but to each their own

Sensei Bob is crazy!
All the 2006 Civics I've done need 18's to fill the wheel well completely. 17's look proper, and 16 or 15 inch rims are too small. That's my opinion though.... It's a visual preference I guess.

For 18's, I paid $1005.80 for rims and $700 more for 35 profile tires.

The new Honda Civic has TONS of clearance!!! Guys are running as big as 20's on them with zero fitment issues, but personally I think 18's are the best fit. In an 18 you will run a 225/40R18 so you still have a decent sidewall but lots of rim. Wheels look surprising small in the new Civic... I have done a bunch already without a single problem...

thanks for the input guys
I dont want to go as big as 20's
and I still really wanna see what 15's or 16's look like on the new civics
although I dont want to risk it
so i probably will go 17", and i PMed Bob a few weeks back, he is king with the pricing and knowledge lol.
thanks guys
