DON'T DO IT.

Ask shane on here about his problems. Dropped off 2 cars for a front end converstion/switch, salvage inspection. 6 Months later he finally gets his cars back, after thye have taken over $2000 worth of stereo and accesories out of the car, the police have showed over 4 times just on this one incident, they cut his rear quarter panel out of his parts car *which I was going to buy back and make track only*, sold the hatch off his parts car without permission. Then wouldn't own up to any of it.

VERY Shady, don't step near them.

Yes, please, if your going to be stupid enough to go there, please request a mod ban you from this site before you take your car there, because I don't want to be the one saying, told you so.

What kind of work do you need done to your MR2? Out of the huge membership on Beyond and some peoples very extensive knowledge of these cars, I'm pretty sure we can find you another couple of options for shops to goto or help you out ourselves.

I havent had any bad experiences there at all... The only thing that I think is bad is that they take forever to call you when you want an inquiry from them.

Maybe because I've only dealt with Emil there :dunno:.

Other then that I've had no problems at all with them.

Who cares? I do when you come bitchiing that your MR2 is in a million pieces, stuff is missing from it, the work they did is incomplete or non-exsistant, and I told you before that it was a bad idea.

Ok....
I've had contact with this shop for over 5 years.. and then 5 years ago I stopped completely because I couldn't handle their shit any more. When I was 15, the car I was learning to drive on had some issues at that time I was unable to fix on my own. My father found Deerfoot Auto. They replaced the fuel pump, we went and picked up the car and as we were driving home there was a strange ticking noise coming from near the fuel tank. Lo an' behold the noise is caused by the brand new fuel pump trying to force fuel past a pair of VISEGRIPS CLAMPED TO THE HOSE!!! They would not replace the pump, even though it practically burnt itself out.

This was before the ownership changed hands.. afterwards it only got worse.

On another occasion I was interested in purchasing a Del Sol from them. I put a deposit on the car and waited for the shop owner to sign off on the deal. The night before I was to take possesion of the car, the seats and headlight magically went missing from a locked car.. at first they were not even williing to lower the sale price with the missing parts.

The last incident involved them trying to rip off my then terminally ill father.. that was the last straw.
They are the WORST kind of crooks.:thumbsdow :thumbsdow

He asked a question, calm the fuck down. Last time I checked, being a postwhore doesn't make you an expert. Your one to call the kettle black calling someone out for asking somethng you think is a stupid question. I recall you making a post asking about how you could get a loan to buy a $50,000 car at 17 years old. How did that work out for ya?

You can't take a frigging $50 000 loan from the bank at 17
that's nuts! Well you can but your parents will owe them
the money and you just owe your parents. That's the only
way dummy.

I would NOT take my car to the Deerfoot Auto Center.
If your smart I'd listen to all these guys cause what their
telling you is all true and I recommend you listening.

Re-read the $50,000 thread again and you will understand, obveously you couldn't read it right the first time. And once you re-read the thread and understand it, you will just have to wait like I'm doing and then I will show you, dummies

As for Emil, no it is not the same one who installs bodykits and does paintjobs. That emil lives in the NW, does very good work, and is extremely busy, never heard any complaints of his work, was supposed to take my car there.

One of the later people who was a problem at Deerfoot Auto was Ike, forget if that was his real name or now, and his boss is Joe *big east indian Joe*, those 2 = BAD idea. There is another Joe that was at Deerfoot Auto Centre, Joe with a hopped up 90 Mustang *red*, young white guy, now he is very willing ot help you out, deal with any problems, do everythign in his power to straighten stuff out, problem was back then he didnt have much power over Joe, and Ike and Joe were good buddies. May have changed by now.

They do alignments I believe, and some parts were seized on a car a friend brought there..

they did half of the car's alignment somewhat to spec and the other side wasn't even touched (seized up bolts, i'm sure they didnt even try to heat it up and loosen the bolts/nuts, looked like they didn't even touch it), they told him they fixed it and all was well (even somehow printed the alignment spec sheet to read all in green), but I threw it on the align. rack at my work and it was all wayyy off, on both sides.

this is only what i heard and saw from a buddies vehicle, but I have never been there so yeh. :dunno:

^ I think that Joe guy used to work at a Volvo shop if I remember correctly..

Get a hold of a consumer watch-type muckraking reporter, and get them to do the hidden-camera thing on these jokers. They should setup two cars, and have a woman take one in -- "I don't know why it's making this noise" and a teenage kid. One is bound to get ripped-off if what you guys are saying is true.
